Two hundred people attended the event ‘Taxes Reform | Brazil Today and Tomorrow’.

The event was held at the Hotel Meliá Jardim Europa, in São Paulo, on August 25, 2023, and had two panels.

The first panel dealt with Taxes Reform and was coordinated by BAT Brazil’s Head of Institutional Relations Natasha Kurrik.

• Senator Efraim Filho, rapporteur of the working group on taxes reform at the Economic Affairs Committee of the Senate,
• Carlos Eduardo Xavier, President of Comsefaz (National Committee of Secretaries of Treasury, Finance, Revenue or Taxation of the States and the Federal District),
• professor and economist Samuel Pessôa,
• taxes lawyer Luiz Gustavo Bichara, from our Ally in Rio de Janeiro Bichara Advogados, and
• taxes lawyer and professor Paulo Coimbra, from our Allied in Minas Gerais Coimbra, Chaves & Batista Advogados.

The second panel had the journalist William Waack talking about the theme ‘Brazil: Current Moment and Perspectives’.
