Meeting was held at the Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa in Cartagena, Colombia.
At the meeting, the Alliance’s new Executive Committee was elected for a one year term. New members of ALAE’s executive body are:
- President: José Rodríguez, from the Ally Posadas, Posadas & Vecino, of Uruguay;
- Vice-President, Luís Hasegawa, from the Ally Hasegawa e Neto Advogados Associados, of Londrina, State of Paraná, Brazil;
- Financial Director: Fernanda Dixo, from the Ally Lacaz Martins, Pereira Neto, Gurevich & Schoueri Advogados, of São Paulo, State of São Paulo, Brazil;
- Director João Pedro Póvoa, from the Ally Barata & Costa Advogados, of Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro; and
- Director Gladson Mota, from the Ally Mota & Massler Advogados, of Fortaleza, State of Ceará, Brazil.
Mr. Rodriguez is the first non-Brazilian ALAE’s president, therefore reassuring ALAE’s commitment to being a Latin American alliance, and not solely a Brazilian one.
As always happens on ALAE’s meeting, on the morning of Saturday March 23rd a special session with invited clients was held to discuss their relationship with law firms in general and with ALAE in particular.
Clients that attended this special session were Yaneth Pinzón, legal diretor of Avianca, and Beatriz Cortázar, legal director of Alpina.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
