Eleven Law Firms come together to create ALAE.

2004

ALAE closes the year with 16 Member Law Firms.

2005

ALAE has its first ally abroad, the Uruguayan law firm Posadas, Posadas & Vecino.

ALAE closes the year with 18 Member Law Firms.

2006

First ALAE Corporate Law Symposium. Among the speakers, the Justices Francisco Rezek and Carlos Velloso and the journalist Miriam Leitão.

ALAE's first book, launched during the Symposium: "Current Issues in Corporate Law". There are 27 essays written by lawyers from the Member Law Firms.

ALAE closes the year with Member Law Firms.

2007

For the first time, clients attend an Member Law Firms meeting. From then on, clients will always be invited to participate in ALAE’s meetings.

ALAE launches the book "Transports: Current Legal Issues" with 17 essays written by lawyers from the Member Law Firms.

ALAE closes the year with 21 Member Law Firms.

2008

First process of internal evaluation of the Allies, which happens every six months since then.

II Corporate Law Symposium of ALAE. Among the speakers, the Justices Francisco Rezek and José Delgado, the former president of the Central Bank of Brazil Gustavo Franco and the journalists Miriam Leitão and Cristiana Lôbo.

During the Symposium, ALAE launches the second volume of "Current Topics in Corporate Law", with 32 essays written by lawyers from the Member Law Firms.

ALAE closes the year with 22 Member Law Firms.

2009

ALAE closes the year with 25 Member Law Firms

2010

III Corporate Law Symposium of ALAE. Among the speakers, the Justices Luiz Fux and Sepúlveda Pertence, and the journalists Miriam Leitão and Cristiana Lôbo.

At the Symposium, ALAE launches the book “Doing Business in Brazil – Legal Guidelines and Main Industries ". Only digital edition and with versions in Portuguese, Spanish and English, the book contains 35 essays written by lawyers from the Member Law Firms.

2011

Seminar for clients with foreign Allies and the journalist Carlos Alberto Sandenberg with the theme "Investments in Latin America: Opportunities and Legal Environment".

ALAE closes the year with 26 Member Law Firms.

2012

In Bogotá, ALAE holds a seminar for Colombian businessmen on "Business Opportunities in Brazil and Latin America".

IV Corporate Law Symposium of ALAE. Among the speakers, the Justices Luiz Fux, Ayres Britto and Luís Felipe Salomão, and the journalists William Waack and Cristiana Lôbo.

ALAE closes the year with 29 Member Law Firms.

2013

ALAE closes the year with 31 Member Law Firms.

2014

For the first time, ALAE is classified, in the ranking published by Chambers and Partners, in Band 1 of the leading law firm alliances in Latin America. Since then, ALAE has maintained this position in the ranking.

V Corporate Law Symposium of ALAE. Among the speakers, Justices Luiz Fux and Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva, judge Sergio Moro, and journalists Renata Lo Prete and Gerson Camarotti.

Launch, during the Symposium, of the book "Corporate Transactions in National and Foreign Law: Current Questions", with 16 essays written by lawyers from the Member Law Firms.

2015

In March, the Allied Studies meet in Punta del Este. It is the fifth time that the meetings are held outside of Brazil, in the country of one of the Member Law Firms.

2016

VI Corporate Law Symposium of ALAE. Among the speakers, Justices Luis Roberto Barroso, Nelson Jobim and Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva, senator Antonio Anastazia, journalist William Waack, and historian Leandro Karnal.

2017

Seminar “Labor Reform: Impacts and Perspectives after Six Months”, with the Ministers of the Superior Labor Court Aloysio Corrêa da Veiga and Alexandre de Souza Agra Belmonte.

Seminar “Controversial Issues in CARF: Opportunities and Risks”, with CARF Counselors Maysa Pittondo Deligne and Junia Sampaio Gouvei,a and National Treasury Lawyer Juliana Furtado Costa Araújo.

Seminar "Corporate Law in Times of Political and Economic Changes: Challenges and Opportunities", with, among others, the Minister of the Superior Tribunal of Justice Paulo de Tarso Sanseverino speaking about the LGPD, and the journalist Natuza Nery speaking about "Brazil of the New President's".

ALAE closes the year with 33 Member Law Firms.

2018

Seminar "Five Years of Lava Jato: Reflections for Brazilian Companies", with, among others, the Minister of the Superior Tribunal of Justice Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva and the journalist Demétrio Magnoli.

Seminar “Fiscal Controversies in Remuneration Programs | Tax Reform”, with, among others, José Levi Mello do Amaral Júnior, Attorney General of the National Treasury, Luís Fabiano Penteado, Counselor of CARF, and Federal Deputy João Roma, then rapporteur for Tax Reform in the Chamber of Deputies.

Seminar “Law of Economic Freedom: what changes for Brazilian companies | Perspectives for 2020”, with, among others, Onofre Batista Junior, former Attorney General of Minas Gerais, Professor at UFMG and Prosecutor of the State of Minas, partner of our Ally in Belo Horizonte – MG Coimbra, Chaves & Batista. and the journalist João Borges.

ALAE closes the year with 34 Member Law Firms.

2019

With the Covid-19 pandemic, ALAE begins to hold webinars. There are ten in the year, between the months of April and October, which deal with various legal issues, including in the countries of our foreign Member Law Firms, ending the year with a conference by Justice Luiz Fux on "The Role of the Judiciary in the Current Crisis Scenario".

2020

Still living under the pandemic, ALAE continues to hold webinars for its clients.

There are 34 Allied Studies, covering all the states of Brazil and eight Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

2021

With the end of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the Allies met again in person in São Paulo in March.

In August, the Allies met again, this time in Santiago de Chile. In addition to the meeting, two seminars for Allies and Chilean businessmen: “Free Trade Agreement between Brazil and Chile – Opportunities for Chilean Companies” and “Chilean Constitutional Process”, the latter dealing with the country’s new Constitution, which ended up being rejected in a plebiscite held in September.

In November, ALAE held, in São Paulo, the event “Perspectives for Brazil in 2023”, with lectures by Minister Luiz Fux (“State, Institutions and Free Initiative”) and journalist Natuza Nery (“The Brazil of the President Elect”).

On the occasion, ALAE launched its sixth book, “Challenges, Threats and Opportunities in Legal Management”, with articles written by more than one hundred of the partners and lawyers of the Allied law firms.
